Environmental Policy

National Tyre & Wheel recognises the importance of environmental responsibility in every part of our business. From product selection to end-of-life management, we take measured steps to reduce our impact and support industry-wide sustainability efforts.

Tyre Disposal & Recycling
We require all tyre disposals across our supply chain to be handled by businesses that comply with EPA regulations. This includes working with accredited collectors and recyclers such as Tyrecycle, a TSA-recognised partner.

Whole-of-Life Tyre Management
We have implemented a tyre management approach that considers the full life cycle—from sourcing to disposal. Where suitable, we prioritise our eco-accredited tyre ranges to support more sustainable outcomes.

Focus on Low Rolling Resistance
We place an emphasis on importing tyres with low rolling resistance, which help reduce fuel consumption and lower CO₂ emissions—contributing to improved vehicle efficiency and environmental performance.

Working with Environmentally Responsible Manufacturers
We collaborate with suppliers who are actively committed to sustainable practices. This includes:

  • Giti Tire, who have invested in environmental projects including reforestation near their Indonesian facilities, community-focused programs, and production processes designed to reduce environmental impact.
  • Radar Tyres by Omni United, the first tyre brand to achieve 100% carbon neutrality.

Many of the manufacturers we work with hold ISO 14001 certification for environmental management across manufacturing and distribution, reflecting a shared commitment to minimising impact at scale.

Our role is to make responsible choices—supporting partners who invest in sustainability and holding ourselves accountable for how we operate across the supply chain.
